MSU vs. Ole Miss Basketball game

Well I've had the flu since Wednesday night. I went to the doctor on Thursday and I got a prescription for Tamiflu. I had to cancel bowling with Josh and Debbie because of the flu. I nearly canceled going to the game with Daniel but the doctor told me that I would not be contagious after I'd been on Tamiflu for a couple of days, and I was tired of being in my dorm. Being sick is like being a prisoner.
I spent my time trying to write but I did not like what I'd written down. Nothing made sense; things were out of place. My map of my novel did not line up with what I'd already written down in my story. My attempts at working on a news story were bad too. That's what you get for trying to write with a feverish brain: insanity. If I'd turned in anything I'd written for a grade not only would I receive an F but I'd also get a recomendation for a psych ward somewhere.
Last night I went to the MSU basketball game and we were playing against our rivals Ole Miss. We won 71-69; I like it when they are close because it makes the game more exciting. That is only true when we win though.
Daniel to me to church at Grace this morning and I saw Debbie and Joel there. I've got to get back to work and make up for lost time. I have a take home test due tomorrow and a news story due too.

  1. Hey Jess!
Thanks so much for the post. It was good hearing from you. I didn't know that you had a blog of your own. Neat. I hate to hear that you've been sick. Don't feel bad, I've caught a drift of the "sick bug" too. I'm just now really getting over it. So how is everything going? I noticed that you mentioned your book that you and Bethany are going to put together. How is it going? I want you to know that when ya'll get that published, I'll surely be one of the first ones to buy one. That's awesome. You'll have to autograph it for me! :-)

How is Bethany liking married life? Are they still doing ok? Tell her I said hi!

Also, do you have a website or just this blog? Somewhere on here there was a link to "my website" and I clicked it, but it was a blank page...weird.

Oh, and to answer you question before I forget: Ryan and I are planning on making a trip to Gatlinburg for our anniversary. I've been before, but Ryan hasn't. So, we thought that would be fun. It's crazy because it really doesn't seem like it's been a whole year! These last seven months since we've been here in Ohio have gone by especially fast.

Well, I have a little bit of homework to finish up for this last week of school that I have to get done. I hope you get to feeling better!

    Luv ya!

  2. Hey Jess,
Thank you so much for the ecard! That was so sweet of you to remember us! We ate our cake yesterday. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Everybody made it sound like it was going to be green and petrified. LOL, it wasn't that bad. Thank goodness.

I know this is off the subject, but do you ever see Jeff around anymore? After I stopped going to EMCC, I never saw him ever again. Do you know if he joined the military?

I'm finally out of school for this quarter! Yippee! So, now I'm going to go and do absolutely nothing! lol

    love ya!

  3. Oh the eating of the cake! How sweet. Did you get pictures of it?

I have not seen Jeff since the semester his mom died. He joined the Navy. My mom is a friend of his neighbors and she said that he is doing pretty good. He and his dad are getting along a lot more, and he did not have to break into his house the last time he came home.
