Well the first week of classes are over. I found out on the first day of class that I will be writing a 20 page research paper for my Intercultural Communication class. This paper is 50% of my grade. The good thing is we don't have any tests. I'm better at writing then I am at taking tests. I've never written a paper this long though so I have to start now. We each choose a country and study their communication customs/habits. I chose South Korea because there are a lot of Foreign Exchange students on campus from South Korea that I can interview. I'd love to be able to get this first hand information.
I had fun going to Dawg Daze events last week. On Saturday there was a concert scheduled for 7:00pm (I don't know the name of the band they never told us). So Daniel and I headed over to the Ampitheater (outdoor concert area on campus) at about 6:30. When we got there we were told that the band was late so to come back at 8:30 or 9:00. We just hung out for a while went to library talked etc. We went back to my room to get a blanket to sit on and then when we were heading back to the Ampitheater we saw lightning. I said "Daniel don't you think that since there is lightning, the concert will be canceled due to a storm?" He said "lets just go over there and see." Yeah, I guess I kind of forgot that I'm dating a storm chaser. I got my umbrella and we went to the concert and it was canceled. It was kind of fun listening to him tell me that the storm was moving North East. Don't get any ideas that I might jump in a van and go around the country chasing storms though. I'm not there yet.
